Paying your Employees is important! A Payroll Entity describes the different business units that you pay your Employees from.
For example, if one of your Ranches is paid by “My Farm LLC”, but another is paid by “My Other Farm Inc.”, you’d want to set up two separate Payroll Entities and associate them with their respective Ranches.
To view a Payroll Entity, first login to the Admin site and click the “Admin” button from your left-hand navigation menu. Next, click the “Payroll Entities” tab. Then, select a Payroll Entity from your Payroll Entities list to view it.
- The upper-portion of your screen shows basic Payroll Entity configuration, such as its name, associated payroll software, whether or not you’d like to omit your overtime multiplier and minimum-wage payouts, the number of Ranches being paid by this specific payroll entity, and your total acreage…
- The “Payroll Batches” list provides a list of recently created Payroll Batches, which are collections of Employee payouts over a given date range. For more information on downloading Payroll Batches, please see our video titled “Payroll Batch Downloads” linked below…
- Click the “Edit payroll” button to edit it…
- And click the “Download Payroll Entity File” button to download a .txt file that provides a list of all Ranches that are being paid out by your Payroll Entity along with their associated Payroll Codes…
Payroll Entities allow you to export payout data from FieldClock in a way that your payroll software can read and understand. This means tons of time saved and no more manual data entry.
