What are the minimum requirements?

The FieldClock Android app works on a wide variety of Android devices.  The minimum OS level is "Lollipop" (Android 5, or API Level 21).

For the best experience, we recommend using a device with at least 4Gb of memory and Google Play Services installed. If you are using an Android device purchased at retail since 2018, your device likely meets these requirements.

Do you sell Android devices?

No, FieldClock does not sell any hardware. Our goal is to provide apps that work on the widest variety of devices in the most cost-effective way, meaning we don't need to put our own profit into the hardware cost.

If you are looking for a ruggedized Android device at an affordable price, the Sonim XP10 provides an amazing FieldClock experience and can be bought from AT&T or Verizon at very low prices.

Can FieldClock use my Android device's laser scanner?

The FieldClock Android app currently supports laser scanners on the Zebra/Symbol TC* series and on Honey CT* series.  If you have a different model with a laser scanner, please reach out to support@fieldclock.com and we will work with you to support the scanner on your device.
