Paying your employees should be quick and easy. To help with this, you can configure FieldClock to export pay data into a custom CSV file that you can then upload into any payroll software that accepts it.
If you haven’t already, please watch our videos titled “How to create a Payroll Entity” and “How to map payroll codes” linked below to first learn about Payroll Entities, template placeholders and payroll code mapping. This will provide you with the knowledge necessary to successfully configure your payroll entity to export a custom payroll file.
- Click the “Software” dropdown and select “Other” as your payroll software…
- The “Line Template” box allows you to customize your export file to contain one or more template placeholders, which are outlined in blue on the right-hand side of your screen…
- For instance, if you need Employee ID in the first column and Hours Worked in the second column, you’d add: “{employee_number},{hours_count}”...
- Continue to do this for all remaining columns that you require…
- If you’d like to leave minimum-wage adjustments out of your payroll export, select “Yes” for the “Omit MWA Payouts” option…
FieldClock makes exporting pay data into a custom CSV quick and easy. Just use our template placeholders to design your export file exactly the way you need it.
