How do I create or edit a Piece Type on the Admin site?

Our Piece Type Edit Form allows you to create and edit Piece Types when and where you need to, so they’re always ready for use. 

Managing all of your different Piece Types or units or production shouldn’t be frustrating. Our Piece Type Edit Form allows you to create and edit Piece Types when and where you need to, so they’re always ready for use. 

To create a Piece Type, first login to the Admin site and click “Admin” from your left-hand navigation menu. Next, click the “Piece Types” tab. Then, click the “New Piece Type” button to create a new one, or select an existing one from your list followed by the “Edit” button to edit one.

  • First, “Name” your Piece Type… Something like Bins or Trees… 
  • Then, optionally select a “Color” for better identification in lists… 
  • “Payroll Codes” allow you to input a single payroll code, which will be applied to all of your Payroll Entities, or you can assign different codes if you have more than one Entity.  For more information about Payroll Codes, please watch our video titled “How to map payroll codes” lined below…
