How do I create or edit Equipment Categories?

Grouping similar pieces of Equipment together is key for proper organization. FieldClock allows you to create as many Equipment Categories as you’d like.

To create an Equipment Category, first login to the Admin site and click the “Admin” button from your left-hand navigation menu. Then, click the “Equipment” tab. Next, click the “New Category” button on the right-hand side of your screen, or select one of your existing Categories followed by the “Edit category” button to edit it. 

  • First, “Name” your Category. This could be something like Tractors, Trucks, or Water Pumps.
  • The “Comments” input allows you to add any notes or comments about the Category, such as which Equipment pieces should be excluded or any other information relevant to the Category.
  • The “Active?” checkbox is displayed if you’re editing the Category and allows you to specify whether or not the Category is in use or not.
